Artex ceilings, with their textured and swirling finishes, were hugely popular in the UK in the 1970s and 80s in particular, but they present a problem when removing or replacing them today – because until the mid 1980s, the Artex mix contained white asbestos to strengthen it.
That was a problem faced by homeowners in Bognor Regis recently, while they were renovating the property. All the Artex ceilings throughout the three-bedroom property had to be removed, so they called in our specialists from Meyer Environmental to carry out the job.
Our team expertly and efficiently removed all the offending Artex, and disposed of it safely under licence. They then carried out a sweep of the property to ensure that no asbestos remained.
The property owners were then able to recommence their renovation work.
If you too are in need of Artex ceiling removal or other asbestos removal in Bognor Regis or anywhere else in West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Wiltshire, or Kent, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
