The seaside town of Bognor Regis in West Sussex is famous for many things, like its magnificent Victorian Houses, the original Butlin’s Holiday Camp, and the annual ‘Birdman of Bognor’ flying machine festival.

And at the heart of it all is the staple of any trip to an English seaside resort – the fish and chip shop.

Generations have known that the best way to round off any day at the seaside is a meal of fresh lightly-battered fish and fluffy chips, and Bognor Regis has many fine chippies to choose from. But a fish and chip shop, just like any other business, must maintain records of all asbestos containing materials (ACMs) in the premises – and so Meyer Environmental recently had a day at the seaside too.

Our clients were the owners of a popular fish and chip bar there, who needed an updated Asbestos Management Survey in order to continue to comply with legislation. The survey was to extend to a two-bedroom upstairs apartment as well as the food preparation and customer service areas, so the task extended to asbestos surveys for both residential and commercial premises.

Our surveyor expertly and efficiently conducted the survey, without disrupting either the business or the residents of the apartment, and provided a comprehensive report to the client afterwards.

We don’t know though if he had fish and chips for supper that evening!

If you too need asbestos survey or asbestos removal services in Bognor Regis or anywhere else in West Sussex, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset, Wiltshire, or Kent, we’re here to help. Just contact us and we can do it for you.
